VDM Resources & Infrastructure
In a resource rich country like Australia, it could be said that the economy is supported by its resources and infrastructure assets.
Where the quality of the assets are critical to support an export regime, such as in Western Australia and Queensland, there is simply no room for any service which is less than first rate, reliable, capable and adaptable.
VDM Resources & Infrastructure has cut its teeth on the resources boom of Western Australia, and through its commitment to safety, quality of its staff and its machines, has earned a position of honour in the company of serious miners.
Resources & Infrastructure designed, engineered and built by VDM teams is supporting iron ore, gold and nickel miners but can be applied to any project which requires recovery, reshaping and construction above or below ground.
The type of infrastructure which supports the mining industry is complex, demanding specialist knowledge and experience quite different to the more traditional civil assets of roads, water, waste or power. VDM Resource & Infrastructure engineers intimately understand the plant and equipment needed for mining, such as carbon reactivation, stripping and acid washing. They can design and build gold rooms and the equipment needed to recover minerals. They understand gravity recovery, metallurgy and process engineering.
They’ve designed and built everything from kilometres of conveyor systems to vast underground vaults. They’ve designed and gouged out the tailing dams, built the roads, designed and built the ancilliary services and buildings which make up the mining landscape. They’ve extracted rock, crushed it and built sea walls. One of the companies in the VDM Resources and Infrastructure Division has been singled out for a prestigious Case Earth Award for environmental excellence, for its ‘impressive innovation’ on a breakwater project.
Branches of VDM Resources & Infrastructure maintain fleets of modern equipment which can do everything from pulverise rock to haul payloads any distance. They have mobile crushing and screening plants which can produce aggregate from shotcrete fines to roadbase and filter rock.
They can manage stockpiles, clean up open pits and rehabilitate sites.
When it comes to making the earth move, there’s very little VDM Resources and Infrastructure can’t do.
