VDM constructed a new freight handling and passenger transport facility on Cocos (Keeling) Islands. The development is located at Rumah Baru on the West Island.
The development comprises an offshore island approximately 200m from the shoreline with an area of approximately 2,800m2 a 200m long approach bridge and facilities, a 400m long dredged channel in the harbour basin, installation of services, upgrade and realignment of the existing access road to Rumah Baru and construction and maintenance of a temporary recreational boat ramp.
