VDM has a mature HSE Management framework which supports each Division.

The HSE system meets the requirements of;

1. Federal Safety Commission
2. AS/NZS 4801: 2001 Occupational Health and Safety Management systems
3. OHSAS: 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management systems

Though experience, VDM understands our customers, their HSE expectations and risks enabling VDM to implement fit for purpose HSE management practices.

VDM has Risk Management as the core of the HSE Management System. Risks are identified and appropriate controls are implemented, and periodic reviews for effectiveness of the controls are conducted.  Statuary requirements and industry conventions are also included. For example the statuary requirement for High Risk and other Licences, and the industry convention of Verification of Competency, of the operators holding these licences.
The VDM HSE system ensures the correct type and amount of control is in place to ensure that employees, customers, the community or the environment are not put at risk.
