When the VDM Group listed on the Australian Stock Exchange early in 2006, the term ‘Concept to Completion’ acquired a much wider and perhaps a more truthful dimension.

Concept to Completion implies a capability to take a project from its preliminary planning stage, through to handing over the key. On the way, there are complex issues to be managed, usually far too many for any single planning or engineering entity.

Through a targeted and aggressive acquisition program, the VDM Group assembled a diversity of proven consultancies and construction companies, which combined, could confidently offer a genuine team approach to the biggest or most complex of projects.

This was VDM’s response to the demands of a rapidly changing global construction environment, where so many disciplines must work together to deliver a project on time and within environmental, social and cultural constraints.

So when a client walks in one VDM door, no matter where, they are automatically exposed to an imposing and talented collection of specialists, covering planning, engineering, architecture, construction and the many specialty disciplines in between, such as traffic and environmental engineering, project management and security.

All of the companies in the VDM Group have their own impressive track records, some going back more than 30 years. They are collectively responsible for a significant array of high profile projects covering mining, tourism, commercial, large scale residential and resorts, resources and infrastructure.

They include master planning of an entire city in China, engineering and specialty services for the Bahrain Financial Harbour development in the Middle East, master planning and project management of the most advanced first class residential and leisure project at Aamby Valley in India and massive infrastructure on booming mining sites in Western Australia and Queensland.

There are now more than 950 people on the VDM Group team, operating in offices in Western Australia, Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and the Northern Territory. Offices overseas are in Hanoi (Vietnam), Dubai (United Arab Emirates) and Mumbai (India).
