VDM Group is Proud to Support the Clontarf Foundation

VDM Group is a corporate sponsor of the Clontarf Foundation.  The Foundation is a charitable not-for-profit organisation which believes that failure to experience achievement when young, coupled with a position of under-privilege, can lead to alienation, anger and then to more serious consequences.  

As a prelude to tackling these and other issues, participants sponsored by the Foundation are first provided with an opportunity to succeed and hence raise their self esteem. The vehicle for achieving this outcome is football.  The Foundation’s programs are delivered through a network of Academies, each of which operates in partnership with, but independent of, a school or college. Football is used to attract teenage Aboriginal men to school and then keep them there. In order to remain in the program, participants must continue to work at school and embrace the objectives of the Foundation. 

Funding for the Foundation’s programs is received in equal parts from the Federal government, State or Territory governments and the private sector.  VDM Group is a proud to supporter of the Clontarf Foundation.
