Established in 1975, Wylie & Skene has grown in capacity and experience to become one of Western Australia’s foremost remote area construction companies. This combined with over 35 years experience in the successful execution of remote area projects establishes our capability of providing a comprehensive service from concept to completion.

Because we specialise in remote area construction, some of our more challenging projects have been in locations such as the Kimberley, Pilbara, Goldfields and offshore locations including Cocos Island, Christmas Island, Thevenard, Varanus and Barrow Islands. Working in remote areas requires that particular attention be paid to detailed planning and logistics, both prior to, and after, mobilisation. We provide a flexible approach and innovative solutions to design and construction problems.
Wylie & Skene is a management-orientated organisation with well documented and maintained systems for safety, quality, cost, time and contract control. Accredited to AS/NZS ISO 9001:2000; AS/NZS 4801:2001 and meeting the requirements of the Australian Government Building and Construction OHS Accreditation Scheme as approved by the Federal Safety Commissioner we adhere to our own management plans for safety, quality, environmental responsibility and industrial relations.
We have accumulated considerable experience in design, construction and management of civil, structural and materials handling projects. Our strength is in approaching contracts in a co-operative manner with our clients. We have developed long standing relationships with a number of major WA companies including Dept. of Defence, Chevron, Woodside Energy, Western Metals Zinc, WMC Resources, BHP Billiton, Rio Tinto, FMG and Newcrest.
